Say the tens, then the units: 47 is kırk yedi. Nothing joins the words and nothing changes in them. One hundred is yüz and one thousand is bin, with no bir in front, so 1985 is bin dokuz yüz seksen beş. From a million up, bir is said: bir milyon.
