dilseverone who loves language

Turkish words are built, not memorized.

Most apps hand you every ending as one more word to remember. Dilsever teaches the pieces and the rule that joins them, so the next thousand forms start reading themselves.

Free while Dilsever is in beta. No card, no trial countdown.

  • 1,526 reviewed words
  • 32 ready packs
  • 16 suffix families
  • 39 grammar topics

Tap a piece to add it. Vowel harmony is handled for you.

nedenwhy

One idea. Five flashcards.

Turkish is agglutinative: meaning stacks onto the end of a word, and vowel harmony reshapes each piece so it fits the one before it. A flashcard deck answers that by making a new card for every form, so you memorize five entries and still stall on the sixth. Learn the join once and the forms stop being separate work.

What Dilsever does instead

Words, suffixes, and verbs are three separate practice tracks, each on its own spaced schedule. You are not reviewing vocabulary and hoping the grammar arrives with it.

One root, five forms

  1. evhouse
  2. evlerhouses
  3. evlerimmy houses
  4. evlerimdein my houses
  5. evlerimdekithe one in my houses

eklersuffixes

Suffix Lab

Sixteen suffix families, each with the rule that reshapes it. The Builder stacks them onto a root and shows the harmony decision while it happens, and the drill brings each one back on a spaced schedule until the rule runs without you.

  • Stack any suffix chain and watch the vowels resolve
  • Every rule written out, never just asserted
  • Drills scheduled per suffix, not per word

Two-way vowel harmony

The rule that decides which shape a suffix arrives in.

çekimconjugation

Conjugation Lab

Twenty-four core verbs across the tenses that carry ordinary conversation. Drill by person, by tense, or by verb, and see the stem change spelled out instead of asserted.

  • Present, past, future, and the reported past
  • Stem changes and consonant softening shown, not hidden
  • A queue that remembers which person forms you miss

Present continuous

gelmek

  • bengeliyorumI am coming
  • sengeliyorsunyou are coming
  • ogeliyorhe or she is coming

Only the last piece changes with the person.

  • Spaced repetition with four honest ratings
  • Import your own list from a CSV file

Arabic, all the way through.

Every word in the library carries an Arabic meaning, and the entire interface mirrors to right-to-left when you switch. Not a translated menu over an English app: the layout, the type, and the punctuation change with it.

  • Arabic glosses on all 1,526 curriculum words
  • Full right-to-left layout, typeset in Noto Sans Arabic
  • Store meanings in more than one language at once

sessound

A Turkish voice, not your laptop guessing.

The curriculum is pre-rendered by a Turkish neural voice and served as files. Your device is never asked to improvise a Turkish accent out of an English one, which is what a browser does when you ask it to read Turkish aloud.

More questions
Do I need a course or a textbook?

No. The A1 and A2 packs are built on the CEFR levels and taught in their own order, so they sit alongside a class if you are taking one. If you are not, the library, the labs, and practice all work on their own.

Does this replace a teacher?

No, and it is not trying to. Dilsever is built for the hours between lessons, which is where most of the learning actually has to happen.

What happens to the words I add?

They stay yours. Nothing is sold or shared, and a deletion request through the contact page removes your account and everything in it.

Is there a mobile app?

Dilsever runs in the browser and installs to your home screen from there. There is nothing to download and nothing to update.

Which languages does the interface speak?

English and Arabic today, with more planned. Word meanings can be stored in several languages at once, separately from the interface.

Start with one word.

Add a root, then watch what it can turn into. That is the whole method, and the first one takes about a minute.
