Turkish Dative Case: -e, -a
Yönelme Hâli (-e / -a)
Going to a place or giving something to someone: okula gidiyorum, sana veriyorum
"To" is an ending on the noun: okul → okula (to school), ev → eve (to the house). It goes with motion verbs (gitmek, gelmek) and with the person something is given or said to (vermek, söylemek): Ali’ye veriyorum.
-e after a front vowel, -a after a back vowel: two-way harmony. After a vowel the bridge y steps in: araba → arabaya, bahçe → bahçeye.
A noun ending in p, ç, t or k softens before the vowel: kitap → kitaba, ağaç → ağaca. The pronouns ben and sen are irregular: bana, sana.

Okula gidiyorum.
I am going to school.
Sana bir hediye aldım.
I bought you a gift.
Otobüse bindim.
I got on the bus.
