Turkish Locative Case: -de, -da
Bulunma Hâli (-de / -da)
Saying where something is: evde, okulda
Where something is goes on the noun as an ending, not as a separate word: ev → evde (at home), okul → okulda (at school), masa → masada (on the table). One ending covers in, on and at.
-de after a front vowel (e, i, ö, ü), -da after a back vowel (a, ı, o, u): two-way harmony. If the noun ends in a fıstıkçı şahap letter, the d hardens to t: kitapta, derste, sokakta.
The ending comes last on the noun, after the plural and the possessive: evlerde (in the houses), evimde (in my house). On a person it means "with them": Anahtar bende (I have the key).
